Welcome To E.R.I.C. Cancer
Initiative Colombia

Revo Pro are a group of professional Ultimate Frisbee women, ambassadors of E.R.I.C. in Colombia, who are committed to raising awareness about breast cancer prevention and healthy habits that contribute to a better lifestyle and helping the early recognition of the disease in the communities of Colombia, and thus, influence positive changes in the lifestyle and breast health among women.

Our aim is to reach out to diverse communities from our country in different areas such as universities, institutes, schools, rural communities, elderly populations, international migrant communities in our country , young and adult mothers and sports groups.

Cancer Burden in Colombia

Cancer is one of the main causes of death worldwide, in Colombia breast cancer is a big concern as it continues to be the type of cancer with the highest incidence in the country with 13.7% of prevalence with 15.5069 new cases.

When breast cancer is detected early, an adequate diagnosis is established, and treatment is available to act immediately and effectively, increasing the chances of cure. Even better, physical activity, healthy eating, avoiding overweight, and reducing alcohol consumption can reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Despite the efforts made in the country the make the treatments more accessible, there is still a lot of effort to be done to generate awareness about prevention and early detection.

About the Colombia Chapter

Our Vision

Improve the health condition of women, and detect, through periodic self-examination, all types of anomalies that may interfere with a healthy lifestyle and occur in diseases such as Cancer. So every day we add actions that improve our quality of life in all aspects, both physical and mental.

Our Mission

Provide events and encounters with a growing community of people with diverse backgrounds, where we provide information and concrete actions regarding the importance of Early Recognition of the Health of our body.

Our Goal

We are a group of sports women who protect life and through what we do, we contribute and transmit keys that improve our well-being. We make each activity we do day to day a space where we can focus on improving the productivity of what we want to achieve and also on the well-being of each person, using sport as a tool to transfer what we learn to all areas of life.

What We Do

We offer open spaces for conversation around comprehensive self-care and breast cancer prevention. The center of our message is to inspire our community to find balance between physical, mental and emotional well-being and raise awareness about the preventive effect this has on the risk of diseases.

Talks & Events

We open and provide a space for the community, where we share tools where the community is informed about healthy lifestyle habits, how to perform a self-examination and thus achieve a timely prevention of diseases such as cancer, in addition to opening spaces for stories and life stories.

Training Sessions & Active Breaks

We will have spaces with different communities where we will provide tips for a better healthy lifestyle and thus achieve: Improved physical health Reduced stress and improved mental well-being Promotion of healthy lifestyle habits Together, these benefits show how regular physical activity can play an important role in reducing cancer risk and promoting overall health.

Collecting Experiences & Information from the Community

We want to give more value to the different communities gathering information about the impact of our program and also assessing the level of awareness they have regarding cancer prevention through surveys. Moreover we want to be a platform for survivors and people who have inspiring stories, to share theirs and help other people create awareness
